Retsepa Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the Retsepa app and are a contract between you and us. By creating an account or using Retsepa, you agree to them.

Who we are

Retsepa is operated by Potapov Oleksandr Persoană Fizică Autorizată, a sole trader registered in Romania, at B-dul Bucureştii Noi 136, et. Parter, ap. 5, Sector 1, Bucureşti, Romania. Fiscal code (CUI): 51609262. VAT number: RO51875094. We're referred to as "we," "us," or "Retsepa" below. If you have questions or complaints about the app, contact us directly at support@retsepa.com, not the app store you downloaded it from.

Accounts

You need an account to use Retsepa, created by signing in with Google or Apple. You must be at least 16 years old to create one. You're responsible for anything that happens under your account, so keep your sign-in secure and tell us at support@retsepa.com if you think someone else has access to it.

You can delete your account at any time from Settings in the app. We can suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms, misuses the service, or creates risk or legal exposure for us.

The license we give you

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Retsepa on devices you own or control, for your own recipe and meal planning, and not for any commercial purpose. You may not copy, reverse engineer, decompile, resell, rent, or build a competing product from the app, and you may not use it in a way that's unlawful or that interferes with the service for other people.

We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of Retsepa at any time. If we discontinue the app entirely, we'll try to give you reasonable notice so you can export your recipes first.

Subscriptions and billing

Some features require a paid subscription. Subscriptions are sold and billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, whichever you downloaded Retsepa from, not by us directly. That means:

• Price, billing cycle, and auto-renewal are shown at the time of purchase in the app store checkout screen.
• Your subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• You cancel and manage your subscription from your Apple ID or Google Play account settings, not from inside Retsepa.
• Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies. We don't have the ability to issue a refund from our side, and can't override their decision.

We use RevenueCat to manage entitlements across devices; see our Privacy Policy for what it receives.

Your content

Recipes, photos, pantry entries, meal plans, and shopping lists you create or import stay yours. By adding content to Retsepa, you give us a worldwide, royalty-free license to store, process, transform, and display it back to you and to anyone you share it with (like the other members of your household), solely to operate and improve the app. We don't sell your content or use it to train third-party models beyond what our Privacy Policy describes.

You're responsible for what you submit. Don't upload content you don't have the right to share, or content that's unlawful, harassing, or infringes someone else's rights. If you believe something in Retsepa infringes your copyright, email support@retsepa.com with the details and we'll look into it.

Recipes you import

Retsepa can turn a link or photo you provide, including public TikTok, Instagram, Threads, and YouTube posts, into a structured recipe. That import is for your personal use. You're responsible for having the right to import and use that content, and for respecting the original creator's rights. We don't vet imported content for accuracy or ownership before it lands in your library.

Not medical or dietary advice

Recipes, nutrition estimates, and meal suggestions in Retsepa, whether written by you, imported, or generated by the app, are for general informational purposes only. They are not medical, dietary, or nutritional advice, and we don't verify allergen, ingredient, or nutrition information for accuracy. If you have allergies, a medical condition, or specific dietary needs, check ingredients and nutrition information yourself and talk to a qualified professional before relying on anything in the app. You use recipes and suggestions at your own risk.

Third-party content and services

Retsepa fetches content from services like TikTok, Instagram, Threads, and YouTube, and uses third-party providers like Google Gemini to parse and generate suggestions. We don't control those services, aren't responsible for their content or availability, and their own terms apply to your use of them.

Disclaimer of warranties

Retsepa is provided "as is" and "as available." To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't guarantee the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that recipes, imports, or suggestions will be accurate or complete.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we're not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of Retsepa, including loss of data or loss stemming from reliance on a recipe, nutrition estimate, or suggestion. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't lawfully be limited, such as liability for death, personal injury, or fraud caused by our negligence, or any right you have as a consumer under mandatory Romanian or EU law.

Ending these terms

You can stop using Retsepa and delete your account at any time. We can suspend or end your access if you materially breach these terms, after giving you notice where practical. Sections that by their nature should survive termination, like content licensing for content shared with others, disclaimers, and limitation of liability, continue to apply after your account is closed.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the app changes. If a change is material, we'll update the date at the top and notify you in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use Retsepa after a change takes effect means you accept it.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Romania, without regard to conflict of law rules. If a dispute can't be resolved informally, by first contacting support@retsepa.com, it's subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Romanian courts. If you're a consumer resident in another EU country, mandatory consumer protections of your own country's law may also apply, and you may bring proceedings in your local courts.

Apple App Store terms

If you downloaded Retsepa from the Apple App Store, this section also applies, and takes priority over anything above that conflicts with it:

• This agreement is between you and Retsepa, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app.
• Your license to use the app is limited to a non-transferable license to use it on an Apple-branded product that you own or control, as permitted by the App Store's usage rules.
• In the event of any failure of the app to conform to a warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any, for that copy. Apple has no other warranty obligation, and any other claims, losses, or damages are our responsibility as described above.
• We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claims relating to the app, including product liability claims, claims that the app fails to conform to a legal or regulatory requirement, and claims arising from consumer protection or similar legislation.
• If a third party claims the app infringes their intellectual property rights, we, not Apple, are solely responsible for investigating, defending, and resolving that claim.
• You represent that you're not located in a country subject to a U.S. government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you're not on any U.S. government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
• Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms, and once you accept them, Apple has the right to enforce them against you as a third-party beneficiary.

Google Play terms

If you downloaded Retsepa from Google Play, Google's Play Terms of Service also apply to your purchase and use of the app, alongside these terms.
